For all you Penny Dreadful fans out there, I wanted to let you know that I will be guest starring in the latest episode, “The Science and The Seance,” which runs this weekend only out at The Brick Theater.
And who will I be playing amongst this ongoing cavalcade of historical figures, magicians, detectives, assassins, and other various sundry?
None other than The Sundance Kid.
Note to Robert Redford: you ain’t got nothin’ on me, son!
For the uninitiated among you, Penny Dreadful is Third Lows Productions and The Brick Theater’s monthly theatrical serial that follows Pinkerton Detective of the Supernatural Leslie Caldwell and would-be magician The Amazing Viernik as they race to prevent the secret society The Alliance of Tomorrow from bringing about the end of the world. Co-created, co-written, and co-directed by the enterprising duo of Bryan Enk and Matt Gray (who, incidentally, is interviewed in Time Out New York‘s theater blog this week).
It’s pretty nifty stuff. And LOTS of familiar indie theater faces in this one. Here are the details for those of you who want to brave the cold this weekend…
